One Theatre's Reader's Description

“This (is) a sparse rendering of Gravity’s Rainbow... the main element (is) a man’s ability to find a rocket by getting an erection & the Americans and Russians treating him like a secret weapon.... He seems to have something to do with a couple of eccentric English scientists who do Pavlovian experiments with dogs—and a woman secret agent is sent to kill him."

Toady Divine is a full length musical inspired by the sprawling, enigmatic 1973 novel Gravity’s Rainbow by Thomas Pynchon, a former technical writer at Boeing.
The novel is convoluted and complicated to put it mildly. And I readily admit I didn’t really understand everything that was going on it. It’s mostly set in Europe at the end of War II although there are all kinds of flashbacks and digressions.
Toady Divine was decribed by the Artistic Director of the American Theatre Company in Aspen as ..."very definitely a “performance piece” in need of a performance group "
It never found one.
